How much should a small business website cost in 2026?

Understand website project fees, monthly care costs, and the questions to ask before choosing a package for your business.

Budget for the job your website needs to do, not just the number of pages. Separate the initial build from ongoing care.

Start with the outcome, not the price tag

A website can be a simple place to confirm your business is real, a source of qualified enquiries, or the system customers use to book and pay. Those are different jobs, and they require different amounts of design, content, development, and testing.

Before requesting a quote, write down your main goal. A local electrician might need clear services and an easy way to call. A retailer may need a product catalogue, checkout, stock management, and order emails. Buying the cheapest option without defining the goal can leave you paying for a second build later.

What KIAVEX packages cost

KIAVEX uses fixed project pricing for defined packages. These are our prices, not a claim about what every agency charges. Your proposal confirms the exact deliverables, timeline, and any requirements outside the package before work begins.

  • Starter: $699 — A sharp one-page presence for new businesses.
  • Professional: $999 — The complete small-business website.
  • Business: $1,499 — Conversion-tuned site with custom design system.
  • Premium: $2,499 — E-commerce, booking, or member portal included.
  • Enterprise: Custom — Multi-site platforms and custom web applications.

What can change the scope

Page count matters, but complexity often matters more. A five-page site with a custom booking workflow can take more work than a larger informational site. Product imports, membership permissions, connections to existing business software, and moving content from an old website should all be discussed early.

Content is another important cost driver. Confirm who supplies the copy, photography, product descriptions, and legal policies. Ask whether revisions, mobile testing, analytics setup, and launch support are included. A clear proposal makes competing quotes much easier to compare.

Allow for the cost after launch

The initial fee pays for building the website. Ongoing care keeps it working as software, services, and your business change. KIAVEX monthly plans are Bronze at $49/month, Silver at $99/month, Gold at $199/month, Platinum at $399/month. Each tier has its own edit allowance and support response target; review those details rather than assuming every plan provides unlimited development.

Hosting, backups, updates, and monitoring need an owner. Also ask about domain renewals, paid plugins, payment-processing fees, and third-party services: confirm which charges are included and which are separate. Domain management assistance is not automatically the same as paying a domain's renewal fee.

Questions to ask before you commit

A useful quote should remove uncertainty. Choose the package that covers your current priorities, with a sensible path to add features later. If the requirements are still unclear, a discovery call is a better next step than guessing at a package.

  • What exactly is included, and what would be quoted separately?
  • Who supplies content, and how many revision rounds are agreed?
  • What do I own, and will domain and service accounts stay in my name?
  • Who handles maintenance, and what happens if I cancel the plan?
  • How will we measure enquiries, bookings, or purchases after launch?
